Door of Hope
At the beginning of 2009 our management became aware of a little known charity organization in and around the Johannesburg CBD known as the 'Door of Hope' . This organization not only strives to save the lives of abandoned new born infants but also provide for these and other abandoned children a loving and stable environment from the time that they are abandoned at the Door of Hope.

Management made the decision to take the Door of Hope as its official charity. We as management and staff wish to create awareness of the Door of Hope, as well as providing financial support.

Some information on Door of Hope:

In Johannesburg alone at least one baby is abandoned everyday, with up to 50 babies being abandoned every month. In August of 1999 the Berea Baptist church under the leadership of the pastor at the the time, Cheryl Allen installed a "hole in the wall" or "baby bin" in the wall of the Mission Church where babies can be placed 24 hours a day. The hole in the wall is still operational although that is not the only way in which babies come to the Door of Hope.

Door of Hope
has three baby houses: two in Glenvista and one in Hillbrow Johannesburg. Two of the homes have the potential to take up to 12 babies at a time, and their main house in Glenvista is now a registered children's home allowing us to have 30 children at this one facility.
